MilliQ Water Purification Systems
- Multiple units exist within the BSF and CBTC.
- Treats water through filtration and UV sterilization to oxidize organic molecules, kill bacteria, and remove ionic/organic contaminants below trace levels to provide ultrapure water.
- Users must be added to an authorized personnel log.
Fridges and Freezers
- -80°C ultrafreezer (Used to store temperature-sensitive materials such as viruses).
- -20°C freezer (Used to store temperature-sensitive materials such as antibodies and tissue samples).
- 4°C fridges.
Micropipette Puller
- Can be used to fabricate glass micropipettes, patch pipettes, and microinjection needles.
- An in-person training session must be completed prior to use.
Cryostat
- Used to section tissue samples under freezing conditions for IHC, imagery, RNAscope, etc.
- An in-person training session must be completed prior to use.
